Lollipop Terry Nappies
Terry nappies are the least expensive of all the nappy systems, they are also the quickest to dry. They consist of the nappy and separate cover or wrap. These nappies are a bit more complicated than the all in ones, or shaped nappies,as they need to be folded to fit baby. They can be fastened with a nappy nippa shown opposite.
They are slim fitting, making them an option for newborns or smaller babies. Even if you choose terry nappies and later on decide you want to try all in ones, or shaped nappies, then you can use them as booster adsorbent pads.
Terries need to be used with a good fitting waterproof cover.
Terry Nappies are made of 100% cotton these nappies are very absorbent. The Lollipop Terries come in two sizes: newborn and regular and an additional deluxe unbleached terry is available in regular to compliment this range. Terry nappies can be combined with a set of shaped nappies as you may prefer to use the neat newborn size for the first few months and then move onto a shaped system. The terry can be folded in one of the traditional styles and secured with a Nappy Nippa which simply hooks into the toweling loops and avoids the risk of pins pricking the baby. For older babies terries can simply be folded into an oblong pad and placed inside a Motherease Rikki wrap or a pocket style nappy. By using modern waterproof wraps instead of old scratchy, sweaty plastic pants, terry squares become an attractive, economical modern option.
The newborn size should fit until baby is around 10lbs.
